Fact Check

In this cooperative game, each player holds information about one type of media, but is clueless about the others. By using their limited resources to craft messages, they can help each other figure out which news sources are trustworthy!

Fact Check was designed during the DisinfoGames jam at Concordia University in 2023 - huge thanks to the wonderful folks who organized the event! 

The game is still a very early prototype, but may be developed further in the future. 

Some planned goals and changes:

- Publishing a written rulesheet
- Creating variants for 2 and 3 players
- Creating a casual game mode (for players who want to enjoy the clue-giving and guessing phases without the extra elements tied to the "news source trustworthiness" concept)
- Ironing out potential accessibility issues
- Tweaking the letter distribution and clue-crafting system to find a good baseline difficulty, allowing for optional difficulty adjustments
- Modifying the physical components to optimize table space
- Creating a French-language version
